Historien om radiobølgesykdommen

Listen ovenfor inkluderer noen biologiske effekter fremprovosert av EMF-eksponering rapportert gjennom vitenskapelig litteratur.  Itillegg har vi inkludert grenseverdier fastsatt/anbefalt av ulike myndigheter og organisasjoner rundt omkring i verden.

Siden digitale mobiltelefoner (og master) kom, har symptomer på radiobølgesykdom blitt en epidemi i alle større byer og i nærheten av de fleste trådløse anlegg.
Begrepet “radio wave sickness” ble først brukt av russiske leger for å beskrive en yrkessykdom utviklet av et stort antall arbeidere utsatt for mikrobølger eller radiofrekvent stråling. Symptomene ble kalt “neurasthenic.”

Neurasthenia “var et eldre begrep for denne gruppen av symptomer, som ble skapt av den amerikansk legen, George Beard, i 1868, for å beskrive en ny type sykdom som fulgte byggingen av jernbane og telegrafsystemet i landet. Sykdommen ble særlig vanlig blant telegrafoperatører, og senere blant telefonoperatører. Begrepet “neurasthenia” falt av moten i det tjuende århundre, da denne gruppen av symptomer, eller et stort antall av dem, begynte å bli referert til som “angstsymptomer”  med rent psykologisk opprinnelse. Sykdom forårsaket av radiobølger har blitt gjenoppdaget, og er nå klassifisert sammen med sykdom forårsaket av elektrisitet generelt under termen “electrical sensitivity”,  i Norge kalt el-overfølsomhet.
